Untitled photo

LoveSick Radio is the epitome of a passionate, hard-working band who's traveled the world seducing fans with their monstrous guitars, searing vocals, and signature rock n' roll sound. If they had an official slogan it would be, "Play until they can't ignore you." But - take our word for it -  this is a band that's impossible to ignore.

LSR has traveled the world opening for artists such as Bon Jovi, Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots, Keith Urban, Kid Rock, Dorothy, Hinder, Josh Todd & The Conflict, Bobaflex, Three Days Grace, Steel Panther, Blue October, Buckcherry, Twenty One Pilots, Dead Sara, & Paramore (to name a few). Looking forward to playing Rocklahoma and many other festivals and gigs,  LoveSick Radio is psyched to pick up where they left off ... ready, willing, and able to win new fans over in a town near you.

Read on to learn everything about this genuine rock band because we asked them a shitload of questions!

THE BASICS

YOUR MUSICAL PAST AND PRESENT IN ONE RUN-ON SENTENCE

LoveSick Radio (LSR) plays unapologetic blue-collar rock n’ roll on steroids, blending big vocals, bigger guitars and catchy hooks with punk and blues-infused swagger to create a fresh sound all their own.

SORRY, BUT WE HAVE TO ASK … WHAT’S THE STORY BEHIND YOUR BAND NAME?

Our drummer was going through a break up & mentioned how every song he hears on the radio sounds lovesick. We thought it had a ring to it.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR SOUND TO SOMEONE WHO HASN’T YET HEARD YOUR MUSIC?

A modern punk rock Rolling Stones meets AC/DC.

HOW DID THE STARS ALIGN TO BRING YOU ALL TOGETHER?

Started with a phone call to the singer about singing on a song I was writing & everything kinda fell together from there.

IF BANDS WERE REQUIRED TO HAVE A SLOGAN … WHAT WOULD YOUR BAND SLOGAN BE?

Play until they can’t ignore you.

MUSIC

A PROJECT YOU’RE CURRENTLY WORKING ON THAT YOU’RE REALLY EXCITED ABOUT.

We are finishing up our new record. The songs are sounding killer. Plus we have a few special guests like Todd from Rival Sons on keys.

HOW DOES THE BAND FLESH OUT A SONG FROM START (IDEA IN YOUR HEAD) TO FINISH (RECORDING)?

It normally starts with David coming up with a riff & rough song structure; then he sends it to Troy to see if it inspires a melody. Then we will make a demo &  jam on it whilst making changes until we feels good to us.

WHAT DO YOU FEEL IS THE BEST SONG YOU EVER RELEASED, AND WHY?

Right now it’s a song called “ Bloodshot Eyes” cuz it’s has a strong hook & big riffs we want to be known for.

PICK ONE WORD THAT BEST DESCRIBES WHAT YOUR REHEARSALS ARE LIKE

Inspired.

ANY MUSIC VIDEOS PLANNED OR IN PRODUCTION?

We will be filming a new video for our next single called “Nothing Left to Lose.”

LET’S GEEK OUT FOR A SECOND … TELL US WHAT YOUR ABSOLUTE FAVORITE PIECE OF MUSICAL EQUIPMENT IS RIGHT NOW.

Probably my 1962 Les Paul Jr ( sg body). Thing just sounds amazing & has so many songs inside of it.

INFLUENCES

PERFORMING

WHICH ARTIST, BAND, OR LIFE EXPERIENCE INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME A MUSICIAN?

Easy answer. Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Jimi Hendrix & The Sex Pistols. All the old cds I stole from my mom.

AN ALBUM THAT’S HAD A SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON YOU.

AC/DC - Back in Black. Still holds up & it’s just a great album.

VOCALIST YOU ADMIRE THE MOST?

Jay [Buchanan] from Rival Sons is probably one of the best new singers out there.

GUITAR SOLO THAT ALWAYS GIVES YOU GOOSEBUMPS?

Joe Perry’s solo on "Draw The Line."

MOST BAD-ASS BASSIST?

Robert [DeLeo] from Stone Temple Pilots is a god on bass.

DRUMMER WITH KILLER CHOPS?

John Bonham is the man!

ROLLING STONES OR THE BEATLES?

Stones! They were more dangerous & still are.

DO YOU HAVE ANY PRE-SHOW RITUALS?

Just warming up. Not really that exciting of an answer.

FUNNIEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED WHILE YOU WERE ON STAGE.

Playing Sturgis last year we’ve never seen so many naked people in the audience.

IF POSSIBLE, DESCRIBE WHAT PERFORMING LIVE FEELS LIKE FOR YOU.

It feels like home. I’m the must comfortable on stage then anywhere else.

IF YOU WERE SECOND ON A THREE-BAND BILL, WHICH BAND WOULD YOU LOVE TO BE SUPPORTING AND WHICH BAND WOULD YOU CHOOSE TO OPEN FOR YOU? [GOOD CHANCE TO PLUG A NEWER BAND YOU REALLY LIKE]

AC/DC would headline & the opener would be Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown. Just so I could watch them.

WHAT DO YOU HOPE YOUR FANS GET FROM YOUR MUSIC? IS THERE ANYTHING YOU’D LIKE THEM TO KNOW?

I hope it just helps them escape their everyday life for a bit.

GOALS, EVENTS ...

MOST DON’T ALLOW THEMSELVES TO BELIEVE THAT WHAT THEY REALLY WANT ... CAN ACTUALLY HAPPEN. CLOSE YOUR EYES AND VISUALIZE WHAT YOU CONSIDER TO BE YOUR ULTIMATE SUCCESS. WHAT DO YOU SEE?

I’ve done some pretty amazing things in my life that I feel lucky about. I’ll go with headlining in front of 80,000 people in China for the answer today.

WHAT ARE YOU DETERMINED TO SEE HAPPEN FOR YOUR BAND IN THE NEXT YEAR?

New album , new tour & reaching a bigger audience.

UPCOMING SHOWS, EVENTS, FESTIVALS YOU’RE PLAYING?

Right now the only one we are allowed  to share is Rocklahoma. Can’t wait to do that one.

PERSONAL

WHAT CONCERT DID YOU ATTEND THAT YOU’LL NEVER, EVER FORGET?

Probably Aerosmith & the Black Crowes.

BEST ADVICE YOU’VE EVER BEEN GIVEN.

Don’t suck.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST VALUED MATERIAL POSSESSION?

1962 Les Paul Jr. The thing is just amazing.

WHICH OF YOUR BANDMATES: IS ALWAYS LATE? EATS THE HEALTHIEST? IS THE PRANKSTER? IS THE TASK MASTER TO GET THINGS DONE? HAS A USELESS TALENT? IS QUIRKIEST ... IN WHAT WAY?

Tucker is always late. David (me) or Glenn probably eats the healthiest. I think I’m the prankster. We are all on it when it comes to getting things done. No talent is useless.

WHEN YOU’RE NOT PLAYING MUSIC, WHAT ELSE DO YOU LOVE TO DO?

I enjoy working out & listening to music. I’m not too exciting it seems. Ha!

IF WE WERE TO LOOK AT YOUR “GO-TO” PLAYLIST RIGHT NOW, WHO ARE SOME OF THE ARTISTS WE’D SEE?

New AC/DC , Aerosmith, Rival Sons, Royal Blood ... to new a few.

BEST BAND NAME YOU EVER HEARD.

AC/DC cuz it’s so easy to remember.

VINYL RECORDS, CASSETTES, CD’s, OR DOWNLOADS?

Probably records, cds & downloads. I listen in those 3 ways daily.

WHAT SONG IS AMAZING, YET NOT VERY POPULAR?

Probably "Pandora’s Box" by Aerosmith. Cool riff, cool groove & cool lyrics.

AN ALBUM YOU NEVER GET TIRED OF LISTENING TO.

Aerosmith - Pump! First record I heard by them. It changed me.

WHAT SONG ARE YOU CURRENTLY OBSESSED WITH?

The new AC/DC song is pretty killer.

WHAT SONG HELPED YOU WHEN YOU WERE HEARTBROKEN?

I’m not sure I have answer for this... hmm ... “ What It Takes”  by Aerosmith.

WHAT ALBUM OR ARTIST DID YOUR PARENTS INTRODUCE YOU TO THAT YOU LOVE?

Sex Pistols debut! Still kicks my ass.

WHAT’S YOUR BENCHMARK FOR A GREAT MUSICIAN?

Jimmy Page. Great writer , player, & cool as hell.
