YOUR MUSICAL PAST AND PRESENT IN ONE RUN-ON SENTENCE.

Ray Bentley, our singer was a rapper for about 4 years, until we randomly ran into him at a college show and Ryan told him “you have to be my singer, no questions asked” and Ray joined the band and we started creating this fusion of Rock, Punk, rap, and SLUDGE, that is TOYMACHINE!!!

SORRY, BUT WE HAVE TO ASK … WHERE DID YOUR BAND NAME COME FROM?

A mini fridge

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR SOUND TO SOMEONE WHO HASN’T YET HEARD YOUR MUSIC?

Rage against the machine, Black Sabbath, Kanye west, lil Wayne, and Nirvana walk into a bar....

WHAT’S NEW IN YOUR LIFE AND WORK? DESCRIBE THE GREEN, GROWING, CREATIVE EDGE OF WHAT’S ABOUT TO BLOOM.

We have been traveling to Austin Texas to record with producers there and they have been connecting us to a lot of great A&R reps, allowing us to jump on livestream and live shows on 6th street in Austin, Texas! What is about to bloom is an amazing fusion of rap and rock that truly hasn’t been heard before. Not as angry as Rage Against The Machine, not as metal as some other Rap/Metal bands try to be, it’s just FUN and energetic.

WHAT DO YOU FEEL IS THE BEST SONG YOU EVER RELEASED, AND WHY?

I’m Fine - Our release on April 16th. It’s high tempo, you can sing along, it expresses a lot of emotions, and it’s just CATCHY.

PICK ONE WORD THAT BEST DESCRIBES WHAT YOUR REHEARSALS ARE LIKE. WHERE DO YOU REHEARSE?

Productive

LET’S GEEK OUT FOR A SECOND … TELL US WHAT YOUR ABSOLUTE FAVORITE PIECE OF MUSICAL EQUIPMENT IS RIGHT NOW.

Gibson SG. Just bought it used for a $1000 and it’s the best purchase I’ve ever made.

INFLUENCES & PERFORMING

WHICH ARTIST OR LIFE EXPERIENCE INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME A MUSICIAN?

Black Sabbath and Dave Grohl

AN ALBUM THAT’S HAD A SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON YOU.

Stone Temple Pilots - Core

DO YOU HAVE ANY PRE-SHOW RITUALS?

Yeah, load in the gear and sweat our faces off LOL. Cannot wait til that is over

FUNNIEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED WHILE YOU WERE ON STAGE OR ON TOUR.

Oooooh, this is a good one. Probably this time that my hat fell off of my head and into the crowd. A fan picked it up and looked me dead in my eyes to throw it on my head from about 10 feet away. We were mid song and he threw it, and then it perfectly landed on my head, on BEAT....Idk if that’s funny, or just awesome lol

IF YOU WERE SECOND ON A THREE-BAND BILL, WHICH BAND WOULD YOU LOVE TO BE SUPPORTING AND WHICH BAND WOULD YOU CHOOSE TO OPEN FOR YOU? [GOOD CHANCE TO PLUG A NEWER BAND YOU REALLY LIKE]

I would love for Concrete Dream to support us and for us to open up for the Foo Fighters

WHAT DO YOU HOPE YOUR FANS GET FROM YOUR MUSIC? IS THERE ANYTHING YOU’D LIKE THEM TO KNOW?

Have fun listening to us, be sad, be happy, or be mad. listen to the lyrics, because they do mean something, and you can interpret them in any way you want to!!!

LISTEN!

WHAT’S YOUR BENCHMARK FOR A GREAT MUSICIAN?

If I feel like they are truly in it for the music and were BORN TO DO THIS
