Indie rock band Parquet Courts have had quite the momentum behind their latest record Sympathy For Life and their stop at Asbury Park’s staple venue The Stone Pony was no exception. The band performed to a sold-out audience and delivered quite an exhilarating, rousing and vibrant set that deftly balanced the recent material of their catalog with established additions of their discography as well. The band offered a high-energy showcase for their dynamic, eclectic and diverse sound while each member exhibited a tremendous level of artistry and flair throughout.

In addition, opening act Public Practice delivered an equally exhilarating set full of upbeat yet infectious soul and funk-based numbers and their musical chemistry was organic and purely exuberant to watch. Both bands delivered fully committed sets of equally electrifying and well-rounded modern rock and funk delivering a truly eclectic and unique musical experience for all in attendance.
