Dynamic showman, entertainer and bandleader Anthony D’Amato AKA Remember Jones made a glorious return to the stage in his first full-band performance since before the pandemic at the newly minted Vogel theater in Red Bank. Jones is currently developing the release of his first album of original music since Ladies and Gentleman Remember Jones … and his new backing band and lineup delivered a rousing set full of exhilarating new material along with some inventive re-interpretations of fan staples and classic covers as well.

The opening sets from Asbury’s own Blaise and Jared Milian with guest appearances throughout each set from local composer and performer David Ross Lawn seamlessly complimented the evening and each performer delivered a heartfelt set full of passion, emotion and sincerity. Jone’s performance throughout the evening was a boisterous celebration full of high-energy, spectacle and plenty of highlights. The new material off of Jone’s forthcoming record is funky, campy and full of a raw, vibrant and soulful energy that’s utterly infectious. Credit also to his accomplished new lineup who shared formidable chemistry with one another while displaying genuine musicality and artistry as well.

While set staples such as “Tranquilizer” and “Let 'Em Look” were crowd pleasers, new tracks “boys+girls+inbetween” and “fat jeans” were utterly electric on-stage and were brought to life seamlessly. Also, the setlist expertly balanced full throttle rock numbers with tender ballads and also gave each member of the band a moment to shine which was a genuine and organic touch.
