For over three decades Barenaked Ladies (BNL) have been entertaining audiences with their incredibly lively and entertaining performances. BLN are notoriously known for their eclectic mix of rock, folk & pop along with a hearty dose of humor and certainly lived up to their reputation tonight. The hijinks started the moment when they hit the stage at The Met in Philly.
The band: Ed Robertson (Lead Vocals & Guitar), Jim Creeggan (Bass & Vocals), Tyler Stewart (Drums), and Kevin Hearn (Keyboards, Guitar & Vocals) sounded bright, tight, and poppy. And Robertson’s vocal range was impressive.
The fun-foursome kept the crowd energized and dancing throughout their 21-song set list. Most of the night included songs from their 2021 album “Detour de Force”. When “One Week” hit, the audience were up on their feet and trying to sing along to the tongue twister.
There’s something about Barenaked Ladies music that makes you feel good, and it really hits home when you see them live. They kept the performance lively and entertaining while being interactive and comedic with the crowd in between songs and certainly made sure everyone was having a great time.
Five For Fighting’s opening performance for BNL was an unforgettable concert experience that left the audience in awe. Opening with the classic “America Town,” they immediately connected with the crowd and set the stage for a memorial night. “Chances” and “The Riddle” followed suite, captivating everyone with their heartfelt lyrics and soulful melodies.
John Ondrasik’s moving dedication of “100 Years” to his wife brough many tearful eyes, creating an emotional & intimate atmosphere. The surprise Queen cover “Bohemian Rhapsody” showcased their musical talent and added an unexpected twist to the setlist.
“Superman (it’s Not Easy) was undoubtedly the show’s highlight, uniting the entire crowd in song. The meaning performance of “Can One Man save the World” demonstrated the ban’s dedication to important causes.
FFF delivered a powerful and touching concert that will resonate with their fans for quire a while.

My name is Steve Cerf and concert photography is my passion. I got into concert photography after seeing a young Freddy Mercury mesmerize his audience at the Philadelphia Civic Center back in 1977. Since then, I have photographed countless live performances of all kinds. Located in Philadelphia, my ability to experience the show and a performer’s essence and “sweat” is what I incorporate into my images.
