Carolos Santana
Santana’s band took center stage at Freedom Mortgage Center in Camden last week ... and led by his wife, Cindy, on drums, started pumping up the rhythm while Carlos waited in the wings. As the congas kicked in, he appears to thunderous applause and nails the opening melody of “Soul Sacrifice,” his signature gold guitar in hand. The band was incredibly tight and totally in-sync with each other…and having a great time.
Carlos Santana has been rocking out his audiences since the ‘60’s and the 75-year-old guitarist shows no signs of slowing down. The Rock-n-Roll Hall of Famer doesn’t disappoint, and the concert that night was no exception.
Earth Wind & Fire started off the show with an hour-long performance. The 3 core members of Philip Bailey (Vocalist), Bassist Verdine White, & Ralf Johnson (Vocalist\Percussionist) all downing silver and black outfits, leading us down a memory lane of their hits. Listening and seeing them perform, you can’t help but get up and dance.

My name is Steve Cerf and concert photography is my passion. I got into concert photography after seeing a young Freddy Mercury mesmerize his audience at the Philadelphia Civic Center back in 1977. Since then, I have photographed countless live performances of all kinds. Located in Philadelphia, my ability to experience the show and a performer’s essence and “sweat” is what I incorporate into my images.
