On a warm, rainy November night, Soccer Mommy made their way to a packed Franklin Music Hall, promoting their new critically acclaimed album, Sometimes, Forever. The energy in the parking lot was electrifying as long lines of fans surrounded the entrances.

Soccer Mommy, born Sophie Regina Allison, opened the show with two off the new album. “Bones” followed by “With U.” Actually, 10 of the 17 song setlist were from “Sometimes, Forever.” The voice of the Swiss-born singer-songwriter sounded soft and dreamy and the band had the whole crowd swaying. Judging from the night's crowd, Soccer Mommy has a very passionate fan base and after seeing Soccer Mommy live, I have to join them.

My name is Steve Cerf and concert photography is my passion. I got into concert photography after seeing a young Freddy Mercury mesmerize his audience at the Philadelphia Civic Center back in 1977. Since then, I have photographed countless live performances of all kinds. Located in Philadelphia, my ability to experience the show and a performer’s essence and “sweat” is what I incorporate into my images.
