The great troubadour, Van Morrison, played to a sold out house at The Mann Music Center in Philadelphia. As Van Morrison took the stage at the Mann Music Center, he was looking quite snazzy in a purple sport coat, blue fedora hat, and aviator sunglasses.

On stage, he is a man of few words, rather, playing song after song. He is all about the music. At age seventy-six, he still possesses a powerful voice and blew his sax and played his harmonica superbly. The band was in top notch form and his interaction with them was seamless. Just a great performance. Van is the Man!

My name is Steve Cerf and concert photography is my passion. I got into concert photography after seeing a young Freddy Mercury mesmerize his audience at the Philadelphia Civic Center back in 1977. Since then, I have photographed countless live performances of all kinds. Located in Philadelphia, my ability to experience the show and a performer’s essence and “sweat” is what I incorporate into my images.
