North2Shore Festival at House of Independents

The energy was high at the North To Shore Festival event on June 15th at House of Independents.

oso oso were welcomed to the stage after three opening bands. Carly Cosgrove, Ogbert the Nerd and Yawn Mower hyped up the audience and left us only wanting more by the time the headliner was ready to hit the stage.

Yawn Mower opened up the show with their 7-piece band and kicked off the night right! Their set included some favorites from their latest album "To Each Their Own Coat". This local Asbury Park band brought their fun style and awesome vibes out and absolutely crushed it!

Next up was Ogbert The Nerd who surprised the audience with the premiere of a brand new tune “Bike Cops”. The audience brought their moves and made sure there was nothing static about their viewing. The audience’s energy only added to the electricity of the performance.

Carly Cosgrove took the stage as the final opener before oso oso. Their enthusiasm and vibrant performance was the best way to gear up for the night’s final act. These Philly natives have the perfect music for the summer season. The audience went wild for Carly Cosgrove’s passionate performance and it left new listeners (myself included), as new fans.

When oso oso finally took the stage, the crowd was ready to bop! From stage driving to crowd surfing, this audience could not get enough of this band’s tunes. A highlight of the night came when it was time to sing Happy Birthday to their guitarist. The audience put their heart and soul into making sure he felt every word. My favorite moment of their performance was Jade Lilitri taking the stage solo before their final song of the night. The vulnerability in his performance really connected the audience before closing out the show with one last bang. The gratitude expressed by the band made it obvious that this was a special show and it was a night we would all remember. Find out when oso oso is coming to a town near you hereyou won’t be disappointed!
