by Diane DiMemmo

The significance of their new album - The Great Depression - cannot be overstated.

Hey, hey, hey!!! What are you all doing Saturday, February 9th at around 5:30pm??? Well, if you call yourself a true pop-punk music fan, then you most definitely should be at The House of Independents in Asbury Park, NJ  to see the sensational band, AS IT IS! Formed in 2012 in Brighton, England, As It Is is comprised of rockers Patty Walters (Vocals), Benjamin Biss (Vocals, Guitar), Patrick Foley (Drums), Alistair Testo (Bass), and Ronnie Ish (Guitar). The band has released four EPs and three albums in their short tenure as a group and are known for their highly energetic performances, cool pyrotechnic displays, and a very dedicated, adoring fanbase.

The Great Depression Tour is a celebration of their 2018 record by that same name, which is as musically stellar as its heart-wrenching lyrics are meaningful. By delving deep into what depression truly feels like and sharing that struggle through compelling music, As It Is has built a bridge musically from despair to hope for all of us who struggle emotionally.

If you want to have the time of your life watching a band whose recent December 2018 performance in London broke the record for the most crowd surfers during an hour-long set (300+) … then you absolutely HAVE come out to The House of Independents this Saturday, February 9, 2019!!!
