June 14, 2021 - After launching their debut album Defender in 2020, ØM-53 releases their exciting new single “Looking Back.” The band continues to develop their unique sound that bridges the 80's with modern indie pop. Along with the new single, they released a music video that vividly takes you back to your days in High School. “Looking Back” stays true to ØM-53’s unique style and sound that continues to push the boundaries and set them apart!

Their Freshman album Defender has reached almost 1 millon streams on Spotify since Jan 2020 earning them a spot on the main stage at Creation Festival to open up for Hillsong Young & Free. Not stopping there, they have gained international recognition by landing the “Song of the Year” on the largest radio station in Guatemala. The band has also charted in the top 5 songs on many radio stations in Central and South America showing their growing popularity both here in the states and internationally.

The Indie Pop band, with Stranger Things - like sounds, are reaching the hearts of people worldwide and cutting into the Jersey music scene. Their nostalgic 80’s inspired sound immediately transports the listener to a night at the arcade. ØM-53 consists of 4 musicians from New Jersey taking a wide range of influences from The 1975, Her’s, Tennis, Boy Pablo, and The Midnight. With their nostalgic pop, Juno synths, lush chorus guitars, and catchy melodies, the band made a statement that their sound is here to stay.

Closing 2020 with over 900k streams in over 80 countries, the band has been able to build a solid worldwide fanbase ready to see them perform in 2021. The band has been picked up numerous times by official Spotify Playlists such as “New Music Friday”, “Sing a New Song”, “Pop For Life”, and “Indie Spirit”. The band has written and produced all their music and has also worked with producer and artist Chris Howland, Sajan Nauriyal, and Edu Linares.

Asbury Park Vibes is a multi-media publication that promotes musical artists through live music coverage, photography, interviews, podcasting, and marketing. Our coverage focuses keenly on the NJ/NY/PA metropolitan region, however we do frequently highlight artists across the US and throughout the UK.

The City of Asbury Park was the inspiration for our name because the area perfectly embodies the genuine culture and vibes of a dynamic music community that celebrates and thrives on the live music experience.

There is nothing better than the ENERGY and VIBES we ALL experience from live music. We're sure we'll see you at a show somewhere very soon!
