This is the year for live shows as the universe is waking back up from the apocalypse. St. Vincent has joined the stage debuting her new album Daddy’s Home. She is rocking Radio City Music Hall on October 12th with her new persona and retro guitar riffs. This new album has a very different sound than her previous work and features back up singers and a sound that compels you to take a step back into rock history.
Daddy’s Home, which came out this year, is Annie Clark’s 6th album (7 if you count Love this Giant, a collaboration with David Byrne). She won a grammy for her self-titled album St Vincent for Best Alternative Album in 2014. Her live performances are eccentric and more than just a musical experience.
Also exciting is the September 17th release of St. Vincent's new movie The Nowhere Inn which is in theaters and everywhere movies can be rented and streamed. Co-written by and co-starring St. Vincent and Carrie Brownstein, and directed by Bill Benz (who also directed the videos from St. Vincent’s current album, Daddy’s Home), the IFC Films metafictional feature presents an equally funny and fractured commentary on reality, identity, and authenticity. The Nowhere Inn’s multi-layered world of blurred boundaries has already agreed advance praise from the likes of INDIEWIRE, FILM THREAT, and more.
Tickets for St Vincent's "Daddy's Home" Tour can be purchased on Ticketmaster and The Nowhere Inn can be accessed on all streaming platforms.

"I am a proud music nerd and Jersey native. I have been a photographer for over 7 years and when I merged my two passions, it fit like a glove. My taste in music keeps on changing as I show up to live shows throughout the tri state area. I love writing about my adventures and getting into geeky convos about music. When I am not out with my camera at a show I am producing education videos for distance learning at my full time gig. Do not be mistaken by my Spotify account and lack of record collection, I am well informed on a lot of great music. I will see you out there trudging through the crowds of music pedestrians. Don’t get too annoyed if I sneak up in front of you to get a good shot. I promise I will be polite." -Rosi Lamela
