New York, NY (March 4, 2022) – New York rock n’ rollers, Jeremy & The Harlequins have released an official video for new single, “It Won’t Be Love” from their forthcoming album, ABRA CaDaBRA coming out May 20, 2022 via Pasadena Records.

Finding the crossroads between sun-soaked sixties California harmonies and New York garage rock gutter fuzz, Jeremy & The Harlequins kickstart a new phase of American rock ‘n’ roll.

The new single “It Won’t Be Love” features original yet nostalgic string arrangements that evoke classic songs of the 50s and 60s. The stunning arrangements on the track were played and co-arranged by Jonny Dinklage, concertmaster and lead violinist for Hamilton on Broadway.

“Fairy tales aren’t made of true love, they’re made of fiction, and the credits begin to roll right after the courting period ends,” says songwriter/lead vocalist Jeremy Fury. “The musical bed of ‘It Won’t Be Love’ might sound like idealized romance, but lyrically the song celebrates finding a temporary companion. I’m fine with it as are most people hunting for their soulmate on Tinder or Hinge. I’m just saying we don’t have to kid ourselves that it’s anything more than that.”

“It Won’t Be Love” was recently featured on Walker the hit TV show on the CW network.

The album ABRA CaDaBRA was recorded at Renegade Studios, owned by Steven Van Zandt – an early supporter of the band and member of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band – with producer Geoff Sanoff (Springsteen, Little Steven, Jesse Malin) tracking instrumentals. Producer Rick Parker (Lord Huron, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Scott Weiland) tracked vocals and the mixing and mastering of the album at Sandbox Studios in Hollywood.

New drummer Steve Forrest (formerly of Placebo) recently joined the band.

ABOUT JEREMY & THE HARLEQUINS

Magic materializes in many forms, but its clearest manifestation in our world would be music. It exists unseen in the ether, yet certainly leaves a physical, emotional, and spiritual imprint. Jeremy & The Harlequins deal in this sort of magic. Finding the crossroads between sun-soaked sixties California harmonies and New York garage rock gutter fuzz, the quintet kickstart a new phase of American rock ‘n’ roll. Following 2013’s American Dreamer, they quietly emerged as a critical and fan favorite with Into The Night [2016] and Remember This [2018]. Along the way, they earned the endorsement of USA Today, Paste, Interview, Wall Street Journal, Nylon, Consequence of Sound, Atwood Magazine, Relix, and Huffington Post who christened them “true originals.” Meanwhile, they can be heard loud and clear throughout popular culture with syncs in Edge of Tomorrow: Live. Die. Repeat., Seal Team, Shameless, Vampire Diaries, Royal Pain, Heavy, Life Partners, and a Miller High Life national campaign. On SiriusXM, Little Steven’s Underground Garage selected “Starlight” as its “Coolest Song In The World” and “Trip Into The Light” as the “Coolest Song of the Year.” Everything just set the stage for their fourth full-length and 2022 Pasadena Records debut, ABRA CaDaBRA.

To conjure up this magic, they tracked the music at Van Zandt’s Renegade Studios with producer Geoff Sanoff [Bruce Springsteen, Little Steven, Jesse Malin]. For vocals, they reteamed with Rick Parker [Lord Huron, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Scott Weiland] in Hollywood’s Sandbox Studios. They also welcomed an all-star cast of supporting players such as Hamilton lead violinist Jonny Dinklage, Ben Jaffe [tenor sax], and Steve Garcia [trumpet].
