Clifton, New Jersey rap-rockers – Toy Machine! - are ramping it up again! Not satisfied with waiting for things to happen, this breakout band is hell-bent on reaching the top. And in their minds … they’re already there.
“It’s crazy,” commented guitarist Ryan Lamon recently. “Everything I’ve had in my mind for the past year is finally happening. I mean, I’ve been thinking about our success for a long time, but my approach is to always stay positive and remain focused on what we want to achieve.”
Lamon, along with vocalist Ray Bentley, bassist Mikey O’Connor, and drummer Greg Alders are musicians who bring their “A-Game” to literally everything they do: booking shows, performing, songwriting, rehearsing, networking, running various businesses, and more. Their energy is intense, yet collectively aimed at reaching the next level. And it’s working.
Just last month ToyMachine! performed a showcase at Jersey City’s Film Factory for Lava Record's A&R executive Mike Flom. The show went flawlessly and received rave reviews. They also just completed a photo shoot with the legendary photographer and filmmaker Jonathan Mannion. Mannion has shot over 300 album covers working with hip hop and R&B performers including Jay Z, Kanye West, Aaliyah, Usher, Outkast, Nas, Nicki Minaj, and Kendrick Lamar; and he just finished a series of stunning photos for Derek Jeter's 8-part documentary series, The Captain, To top it all off, ToyMachine! has just been featured on the cover of StyléCruze Magazine! To say the least, the band is confident and excited about what's on the horizon!
Feeding off of all that energy, ToyMachine! has lined up several unique shows in New York and New Jersey, along with a festival event at Washington Square Park in NYC. Tickets can be purchased at each venue’s website. You'd be crazy (sorry, not sorry!) to miss ToyMachine! perform live at this time. Because when they reach the top ... you'll be able to brag, "I saw them back when ..."
