The 4th Annual Rocktoberfeast Music Fundraiser – sponsored by The Local Fix Foundation – took place on October 16th at The Stone Pony and was a resounding success! The mission was to raise $10,000 for the Move For Hunger organization through ticket sales, donations, a raffle, and sales of a special Rocktoberfeast beer developed by Twin Lights Brewing Company. Event organizers are thrilled to say that they surpassed that goal!

A variety of vendors lined the outdoor area of The Stone Pony on that gorgeous Fall day; many of them having donated services and items for the fundraising raffle. Spenga, Mazza Recycling, The Green Room, Lvly Photography, State Farm, Macro Bites, Playa Bowls, Phillip T Baker Rock N’ Roll Art, Kara Bella Permanent Makeup, Scrambl’d Yegs, and many more contributed to the party-like atmosphere by mingling with attendees and providing childrens’ games throughout the outdoor area. Employees from Kinetric Wellness provided massages and sponsors such as Rent Jersey Shore, AR Alfano Renovations, State Farm – Sasha Buerano Agency, The Local Fix Foundation, and others, sponsored the event. There were many raffle winners who were lucky enough to take home bountiful gift baskets, gift certificates for professional services, beautiful art work, and even a brand-new bike!

Now, if you’re having an event at The Stone Pony, there HAS to be music, right? Well, rock bands Supermutt, Poeta, Wave Break, Clancy & The Grifters, and Spirit Fox all gave of their time and provided outstanding sets that kept attendees dancing and celebrating all day long!

Asbury Park has always held such a special place in my heart and the history and energy of The Stone Pony was something we really wanted to bring to ROCKTOBERFEAST. When we found out it was possible to have the event there this year, we were excited about bringing our vision to life and we knew that 2022 was going to be the best year yet! Everyone worked really hard to get sponsors, donations, and get the word out by posting and flyering everywhere we could. It feels incredible to know that at the end of all of this we'll be able to write a check for well over our initial goal of $10,000 to Move For Hunger! We are especially grateful to the bands who donated their time and effort to making this event a success, as without them, there wouldn't be the "ROCK" to the Rocktoberfeast!“”

~ Dina Haffner, Rocktoberfeast Chair

All in all, Rocktoberfeast was one of the best run charitable events we have ever been to and accomplished exactly what it set out to do! The millenial “dream team” of The Local Fix Foundation and Twin Lights Brewing should be commended for their hard work, philanthropic nature, and desire to bring people together for an excellent cause. Please continue to support the very worthy organizations of The Local Fix Foundation and Move For Hunger!

About The Local Fix

The Local Fix Foundation was born out of the desire to organize an event in the Jersey Shore community, for a good cause. In October 2019, Sasha Buerano, owner of SB Agency LLC, and Will Grundmann, CEO of Twin Lights Brewing, created the first ever Rocktoberfeast--a music and beer fundraising festival all for the benefit of the local nonprofit, A Need We Feed. The event was a huge success and integrated different businesses and members of the community. Recognizing the momentum this festival created, they decided to take this passion for event planning for a cause, by bringing on other community-centered individuals to found The Local Fix Foundation.
