With live music gearing back up, now more then ever is the perfect time to discover your new favorite artist or band! Here are a few select songs and albums that currently are some of our favorites. Give 'em a listen and maybe you’ll gain a new one in the process too!

1.) Laser Tooth Tiger by Ruby Bones-  NJ Indie-rock band Ruby Bones are getting the party started on their infectious and anthemic latest record Laser Tooth Tiger. The band delivers an album full of heart, hooks and some truly exhilarating rockers making for a truly well-rounded and dynamic listen. The songwriting of frontman Chris Fox has progressed significantly here as the album manages to mix together heartfelt introspection with over-sized melodies effortlessly. In terms of craft and progression, Ruby Bones deliver their most concise, authentic and rewarding collection of songs and will surely be an instant hit with the return of gigs. We got plenty to celebrate these days and Ruby Bone’s record is the perfect kickoff! Highly recommended!

2.) The Midnight Album by NAC - Hip-hop as a genre has quite a bit of its roots in NJ. Brick-based hip-hop lyricist Nac adds a worthy contribution to the pack with his gothic and hard-hitting record The Midnight Album. Chock-full of both vibrant and punchy lyricism and atmospheric production, the record offers a vastly captivating showcase for NAC’s raw, yet insightful style and unique aesthetic. As an artist, NAC finds an electrifying balance between technical prowess and raw confessional style resulting in an absorbing and honest listen. The Midnight Album is a refreshing, bold and uncompromising statement from a promising young talent.

Philly artist Brian Quirk delivers an upbeat pop-punk inspired anthem full of infectious hooks and an energizing sound that’s refreshingly nostalgic. As a track, “Sunlight” has a stadium-ready appeal that’s sing-along worthy while offering a unique production style that mixes together elements of pop-punk, emo and ALT-rock. For those looking for a blast of 2000’s style pop punk with heart and style, “Sunlight” is most certainly a track that shines brightly.

"Plum Tree" by Fool Saint: Indie rock is a staple genre that’s always expanding and Jersey City Indie rock band Fools Saint makes quite the impression with their emotional and powerful debut single “Plum Tree.” The track features a stirring vocal performance from lead vocalist Sara Bruno and the band’s accompanying sound strikes a compelling balance between progressive and indie rock demonstrating the band’s unique influence. Thanks to raw and organic songwriting and a distinct yet dynamic sound, Fools Saint makes a commanding first impression. This is one tree that’s sure to be blooming well into the future!
