Asbury Park pop outfit Pepperwine independently released their latest single “Running in the Rain” on September 20th. Remaining true to their journey as a DIY band, “Running in the Rain” deals with themes of persistence, learning and growing from one’s experiences, and riding the ups and downs of life as an independent band. The single follows up their March 2021 track “Try.”

Fading in with the introspective soundscape of a rainstorm, the single is laden with grooving drums and emotive piano. Front woman, Kellie, demonstrates her vocal prowess with memorable melodies and soaring harmonies. The track fills out with luscious guitar and bass. And the upbeat drumming grows heavier throughout the track, making it as much an emotional hard-hitter as it is a wondrous ballad. “Running in the Rain” is now available on all major streaming services.
