New York hardcore-punkers Point Blank independently released their new single “Trapped In My Head” on January 12th. The tune is the band’s first release since their sophomore LP On The DL dropped in 2016.

Trapped In My Head” is two minutes of catchy, head-banging, no-bullshit riffage; it cuts right to the core of the band’s aggressive blend of classic punk and early-80’s hardcore. Guitarist Dan Derella’s simplistic yet commanding riffs hook the listener in immediately before drummer Keith Malonis builds the song up and launches it into a powerful chorus. Frank Avila’s meaty bass tones add to the hugeness of the track’s sound, and vocalist Ken Wagner delivers an aggressive performance that will surely have crowds shouting back at him once shows resume.

Trapped In My Head” is currently available on Point Blank’s bandcamp page, as well as the new single "Negative 2 Positive" which was released right before this article went to press! We here at APV highly recommend checking out these explosive new tunes, in addition to the band's albums On The DL and Point Blank.
